Art at the Rowers 2026 - EOI’s Now Open!
We’re looking for creative artwork from local artists to include in the 2026 Art @the Rowers
Mosman Rowers is delighted to once again host our Art@The Rowers exhibition, now in its fifth year. The theme for next years’ exhibition is Port Jackson - including its bays, beaches, rivers, flora, fauna and the surrounding built environment. We are very happy if you decide to focus on Mosman Bay. We are honoured to have the renowned, award-winning artist Wendy Sharpe, AM as our judge.
The exhibition is acquisitive with the first prize winning entry permanently displayed at the Club. All other works are for sale.
Prizes include:
1st Place: $2,500
2nd Place: $1,000
3rd Place: $500
Highly Commended: Rowers Vouchers
Members’ Choice: $500 voucher from ArtSmart, Mosman Rowers members are eligible to nominate their choice

Eligibility: Open to all (members of Mosman Rowers pay a reduced fee).
Theme: 2D artworks of Port Jackson - including its bays, beaches, rivers, flora, fauna and the surrounding built environment.
Size: Each entry must not exceed 100cm x 100cm - including the frame.
Entry: Each artist may submit online one work by Wednesday 21st January.
Selection: Works will be shortlisted by a Mosman Rowers Club panel.
Pricing: All artwork in the exhibition must be available for sale and will be charged a 25% commission on sales.
Entry Fee: Selected artists pay an entry fee of $40 for Mosman Rowers Club Members and $45 for non-members.
Presentation: Selected works should be framed to a professional standard - no IKEA/chain store frames.
Insurance: All works will be insured by The Mosman Rowers Club during the exhibition.

Meet the judge
Wendy Sharpe AM is one of Australia’s most acclaimed and awarded artists. She lives and works in Sydney and Paris. She has won an extensive list of prizes, residencies and scholarships including: winning the Archibald Prize, the Sulman Prize, the Portia Geach Memorial Award, the Calleen Art Prize, the Adelaide Perry Art Prize, the Gold Award and many more. She has been a finalist in The Archibald Prize 8 times and the Sulman Prize 12 times. She has had many international artist residencies in places as diverse as Antarctica and Egypt. Sharpe received a commission by the Australian War Memorial as an Official War Artist, the first woman since WWII. She has painted major public murals and in 2024 she had a major solo exhibition, Spellbound, at the Art Gallery of NSW.
She is represented in Sydney by King Street Gallery on William Darlinghurst

Thank you to everyone who made the 2025 Art@TheRowers Acquisitive Exhibition a fantastic success. From the talented artists who shared their incredible ‘Coast’ themed works to the art lovers who came to admire them and of course our generous sponsors who made it all possible.

The 2024 Art@The Rowers Acquisitive Exhibition
After all the terrible weather on Friday the sun shone on Mosman Bay on Saturday night for our opening event to a large crowd of artists, their family and friends, Club members and invited guests.
We were fortunate indeed to also have an artist of the calibre of Tim Storrier, AM judging the event.
We are very grateful for the generous sponsorships from Team Bowden | Raine & Horne Lower North Shore and Sarah Montgomery and David Barnett of ArtSmart who provided the Members Choice award.
