Dymocks Events Presents: In conversation with Kate Reid & Lauren Sams

Founder of Lune Croissanterie, Kate Reid, joins Lauren Sams for a conversation about her memoir Destination Moon. A story of fast cars, French pastries, and finding purpose, Kate’s open-hearted book traces her remarkable journey from Formula 1 engineering to opening the world-famous Lune Croissanterie.

Kate’s path was anything but conventional. After studying aerospace engineering at RMIT and working in Formula 1, she realised the career wasn’t what she imagined. Returning to Melbourne, she pursued her passion for pastry, training in Paris before dedicating countless hours to perfecting the croissant. In 2012, she opened Lune, a bakery devoted exclusively to croissants, now celebrated worldwide.

Kate will be joined by Lauren Sams, fashion editor at The Australian Financial Review, who writes on fashion, culture, and business.
